Although his profession is banking, Dana Paul Robinson has been writing songs for over forty years, enjoying the magic of matching a sensitive lyric with a new and memorable melody. His talents have been manifested in several genres, including musicals, stand alone ballads, a few albums and liturgical pieces. Classically trained and having come of age playing the works of such masters as Porter, Kern, Gershwyn, Berlin and Carmichael, Robinson hopes to attract younger listeners not to an old style but to a fresh approach to the unchanging basics of lyrical sophistication and musical integrity.

His two most recent albums, “Hello Again” and “Chamomile Tea and Other Delights” feature the superbly gifted jazz vocalist, Lisa Hindmarsh, and pianist/arranger Michael Frank with a total of 24 exceptionally well recorded and mixed tracks. In addition to purchasing a downloading these tracks, he aspires to have others in the industry – singers, bands, record producers, etc. – consider using his work. He and his family reside in Chester County, Pennsylvania and he produces under the name of Anda Publishing.

Dana’s creative impulse is not limited to the scores of stand-alone songs he has crafted.

In addition to several liturgical pieces he has produced three albums and has composed the lyrics and music for five musicals. The public performance of his most ambitious operetta, ADEODATA, has been highly acclaimed by the local press.

Convinced of music’s power to touch lives, Dana is committed to the proposition that a single singer with a poignant song can change the world.
